listening to: "All This Time" by OneRepublic

2012. Wow. I could barely believe that it's 2011, and now, here comes 2012. How did time fly by that fast?

The song lyric in the title inspired me for this here are my two resolutions. :)

{take more pictures}
i don't take nearly enough pictures. or, more specifically, i never upload and post them. and especially since we are getting a cannon DSLR camera (eep!), i am hoping to get in the habit of taking more pictures a day. i might even try a 365 blog again - we'll see. :)
{smile more often}
cliche much? maybe a little, but it's true for me. i don't smile nearly enough. a lot of photos of me, i am simply looking pleasant. but nothing beats a good smile. i want to be the girl who is always smiling. or better, as audrey hepburn puts it, "i want to be remembered as the girl who always smiles." :)
What are your New Year's resolutions?
p.s. new look - like?

Chocolate Dipped Pretzels

Tuesday, December 13, 2011

There's no denying it - my family and I love to bake. We also love to give little Christmas gifts. So when the oppurtunity arrived of making this delicious treat to give to all our dear friends, we snatched it up. This is pretty much a recipe-less recipe. There's no trick to it, no un-guessable ingredients. Just a lot of love, and a lot of fun. :)

Chocolate Dipped Pretzels
-pretzel sticks (2 packages)
-2 cups semi-sweet/dark/white/milk chocolate chips (any one will work, and it's fun to mix them up)
-toppings (sprinkles, crushed candy canes, mini marshmallows, etc.) - optional, recommended

1. Melt the chocolate in either a double boiler, or in a bowl in the microwave. I prefer using a double boiler.
2. Dip away! Rolls the pretzels in the sprinkles after dipping.
3. Eat and enjoy. :)
Makes: About 40

So do you bake? What's one of your favorite holiday treats?

Busy, Busy, Busy

Sunday, December 04, 2011

Wondering why I haven't been around here in a few days? I am busy friends. :) Busy, busy, busy. Five blog design orders, homework, and baking Christmas treats for friends, dance recital next week . . . yup, it does that to you.
Here are the Thanksgiving pictures I promised - it was a beautiful, sunny and warm day in my neck of the woods. I love it. :)

These pictures are from Christmas decorating the next day. It beats black friday shopping any day. :)

 really loving this bokeh. :)

What have you been doing, friends? Are you happy that December has started, or sad that November is over?

hello there, I haven't seen you in a while. :)

Thursday, December 01, 2011

Hello, friends. I'm back from my blogger break, 50,000 words written and in fully fledged (notice the new design?) Christmas mood. Check out the mixpod for a special Christmas playlist. (one of the songs is consequentially one of my ballet songs in our Christmas dance rectical - kudos to the one who guesses it.)

Thanksgiving pictures are in the editing process...I hope to post them soon.

So what about you, dear friends? Have you put up your decorations yet? Is your tree up and decorated? Have you finished the last of the pumpkin pie yet? I'd love to know. :)
