NaNoWriMo Survival Plan

Dear Bree,
This is a letter from your commanding officer in the writing comittee. Here are your guidlines for November and the craziness it shall bring:
1. Food affects the way you write, so eat well. how can you be expected to write well when you are living on twelve cups of coffee and not much else?
2. Lists always help you organize your thoughts - I know from experience. ;) So if you feel a bit jumbled or disconected, write everything out, list form.
3. Writer's block? Get up and move away from your writing for a while. You will come back refreshed.
4. Don't obsess over your word count. Trust me, it's not the end of the world if you don't make it to the finish line. And you will go on living, even if that bar never turns purple. Even though you may suffer from severe depression...but let's not dwell on that. ;P
5. Though little sleep and lots of coffee/tea sounds like a fun adventure, it's not. You will write better if your brain is rested and well-hydrated. This goes hand in hand with that first one.
6. Leave your blog. Trust me, which is more important: a book finished and a lost follower, or no book finished and maybe one more follower? Methinks the former is.

God bless your writing!
~Your Commanding Officer (a.k.a. your conscience)
Note: this letter is a joke/encouragement for myself. feel free to add to these tips if they feel lacking. ;D
