Beautiful People//Adair Edeson

this photo does not look exactly right, but it was close enough. :)
So after skimming through all the characters I could do for this month's Beautiful People, I realized I have yet to do the ever-talked-about Adair Edeson! This character is possibly one of my favorites. But shh, don't tell. ;)

1. What is their favourite type of shoes? If it's the latest style, Adair is happy. Recently, it's been a pair of calf-height lace up boots.

2. Do they journal? No: to journal would be to be womanly and weak. But Adair thinks in journal format (as in "Then I stumbled..." etc.)

3. What’s their favorite animal? Horses are a particular like of Adair's, but animals in general aren't really his "thing". He doesn't spend much time around animals, and therefore doesn't feel very attached to them.

4. What does their average day look like? Really, every day is different. But in general he wakes up midmorning, spends a while grooming himself, and then runs a few errands for Tarquin. On a good day, he might get to ride to another town for the aforementioned errands. On a poor day, he has to spend long hours studying with Tarquin. He often dines at the tavern where Ara works.

5. Night owl or morning person? Night owl. Adair does not get up early unless absolutely necessary, and loves to stay up late into the night.

6. Do they have a sweet tooth? Oh yes. Adair loves cake, when he can manage to find it (sugar is expensive, and cakes are for aristocrats only). And honey on his bread is always a welcome surprise.

7. What colors are their bedroom? Simple grey walls surround his comfortable cot, and the wooden floor beneath is often tinted golden by the constant fire in the hearth. In the summer, sun-filled leaves outside the window often give the room a greenish hue.
8. Can they cook? No, and it's a sorry thing. The way Adair eats, it would suit him to learn to cook. But alas, it has never been an interest of his.

9. What is their favorite household chore? Since Adair has only to care for himself, his house is quite reasonably small, and household chores are a rare occurrence. Especially if you include the fact that he is rarely home. And when it is time to clean...well, let's just say none of the jobs appeal to him.

10. Favorite kind of tea? Anything that is not too strong, and usually dulled by spoonfuls of honey. Fruity teas are in his favor, especially lemony ones. :)

“Let’s not dwell on that. I’m here. You are happy. All is well.” I cut her off, wanting to avoid the subject. - Adair Edeson, Psithurism

  1. bonjour!
(sees bits of French about:must follow suit)
I am (obviously) new to your lovely blog and have decided I like it enormously. Yes, very much. And Adair. He sounds kind of like a swashbuckler in the making. But that may just be my opinion stemming from the way he so dastardly drowns the flavor of his tea with gobs of honey.

    Cheers!

  2. Ben Barnes/Prince Caspian has a perfectly novel-ish look. =D Good choice for Adair.

    Good luck with your NaNoing/stories!!
