Beautiful People: Starlight

Starlight / via pinterest
One of my dear friends and I were chatting last night about life (as you do) and she challenged me to share with you all a little more about my character Starlight (c/o Ryker and Starlight). I try to keep my quieter works in progress - well, quieter - so as to keep things in focus here, but I couldn't resist the challenge.

I know about as much of her as you do, but she bangs around my head regularly and I cannot wait to delve into her story...in a while when I'm finished all the others. ;) Here are the questions, then, and here is

STARLIGHT
(questions via Further Up and Further In)
1. What does you character regret the most in their life?
She doesn't regret. A few things stick in the back of her head, a few things she does not like to recall, but regret? No.

2. What is your character's happiest memory? Most sorrowful memory?
Childhood memories are the happiest, of course. Starlight remembers well the bright, white days of girlhood, romping around the family gardens: whether on horseback, feeling the wind sweep through her bones; or barefoot, the damp dirt clinging to the soles of her feet; the outside air and the warmth of the light are the pungency of their impressions. Sorrow leaves a more bitter stain on the cloth of life, but Starlight does not dwell much on those recollections; family deaths, money troubles, arguments: they only muddle in her head like so many bees, reappearing now and again unexpected, but mostly quite subdued.

3. What majorly gets on your character's nerves?
Very little, actually. She's surprisingly calm - though perhaps a lack of care: whether in appearance, attitude, or emotional attatchments - does upset her.

4. Do they act differently when they're around people as opposed to being alone? If so, how?
Yes - more polished, proper, polite (the trinity of societal success, of course).

5. What are their beliefs and superstitions? (Examples: their religion or lack of one, conspiracy theories, throwing salt, fear of black cats.)
She was reared Protestant by habit; she knows little more of the lifestyle than of architecture, but in the same way she admires and respects it.

6. What are their catchphrases, or things they say frequently?
"La-dee-dah."

7. Would they be more prone to facing fears or running from them?
Face them, by all means. Starlight is not one to be weakened by challenges; she likes to think she can rise to face them quite efficiently and gracefully, actually.

8. Do they have a good self image?
Of course. Society cannot allow otherwise; besides, she has a good, lean figure, a glowing, bronzy complexion, and elegantly-shaped eyes. She has little to feel self-conscious about.

9. Do they turn to people when they're upset, or do they isolate themselves?
Starlight turns to people when she's upset - and for anything, really. Any shoulder than can withstand a Starlight-cry-out is sturdy indeed.

10. If they were standing next to you would it make you laugh or cry?
A good question - I think, perhaps, a little of both.
